Sojourn’s monthly day of prayer and fasting is this Wednesday, April 1st.
Our particular theme this month: Praying for the Prodigals.
In the midst of this pandemic everything has changed and yet nothing is different. God is still about the business of calling people to himself and, in his mercy, he will wisely use our circumstances to get our attention: to draw those of us who know him closer, and to draw the prodigals home.
On this day of prayer and fasting, more than ever we sense our need of him. If you have never fasted before, welcome to this new rhythm! Today you’re invited to humble yourself and pray fervent, on-your-knees kinds of prayers for all the needs and for the lost. We will pray for those who have gone astray from the God who loves them and gave himself up for them. We will pray that they—and us too—would comprehend just how much the Father loves them.
To participate in the Day of Prayer and Fasting:
Join in the Fixed Hour Prayer times at 7AM, 11AM and/or 7PM. (Download the Zoom app at www.zoom.us and use this Meeting ID: 327-807-140)
For the 11AM prayer time, download this prayer guide to help you participate. Even if you join the call silently, be encouraged that God is faithful! If you can’t join but want us to lift up someone by name, please email their name to kaseplace@aol.com.
Come up with your own times to pray! You are not bound by our limitations…so choose some times that work for you, find someone who’ll join you on a call or a Zoom meeting, and simply pray.
