Sojourn exists to follow Jesus

SCROLL DOWN

Sojourn exists to follow Jesus

A Journey

We are travelers on a journey together, sojourners in process. Our journey is an upside down one, from death to life and from darkness to the light. We journey because of Jesus, the one who is making all things new.

As we present ourselves to Jesus, and practice the way of Jesus, we actually become more like him. Just as Christ lived a life for the good of others; we too seek to be a church not for ourselves.

Sojourn

Why Sojourn? The word speaks to our identity as travelers on a journey, as those who are in process. The word also speaks to the kind of journey we are on: it has connotations of deliverance and redemption, of journeying from bondage and slavery to freedom. Sojourn reminds us of who we are, and where we are going.

An Invitation

We are a band of travelers who have been invited into this journey through the grace and mercy of Jesus poured out on us in the gospel. Because He welcomed us in and invited us on this journey, we want to welcome you in and invite you to join us. Whether you're already a follower of Jesus, or you have questions, or whether you're disillusioned with religion altogether, you're invited to come see who Jesus is.

Our Destination

If life is a journey, we want our journey to be marked clearly by our destination. We are travelers, yes, but not those who wander aimlessly. No, we have a hope that God is making all things new in and through Jesus the Christ (Rev 21).
